National Basketball Leagues Limited (NBLL), with oversight of the G.J. Homes Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa and Sal's National Basketball League competitions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Karen Mounsey to the NBLL Commission.
Mounsey brings extensive governance experience to the role, having served as a Board Member on the Cairns Taipans Board since December 2014 and as a member of the Baseball New Zealand Board since December 2023.
After an extended period in Australia, she has recently returned to New Zealand and is eager to contribute to the continued success and growth of basketball at a national level.
“We are delighted to welcome Karen to the NBLL Commission,” said Tracey Garland, Board Chair. “Her expertise in governance and her passion for sport will play an important role in shaping the future of our leagues and further strengthens the Commission’s leadership”.
She fills an Appointed Independent Representative vacancy left by Tom Abercrombie, who has stepped down to pursue a new career opportunity. we thank Tom for his contributions and wish him all the best in his next chapter.
