The Southern Hoiho (95) survive the BNZ Northern Kāhu (86) in Dunedin.
The Hoiho started the game strong with Paige Bradley (15pts) coming out hot but the Kāhu managed to pull away in the first quarter. Aliyah Matharu (13pts) shined in the second quarter but the Hoiho were able to claw their way back into the game. Paige Bradley continued to work through the defense throughout the second half of the game but it was Claire Jacobs (20pts) that would lead the scoring alongside Rebecca Pizzey (19pts, 13rebs, 8asts). The Hoiho had heart and continued to fight to the very end but it was ultimately the strength of the Hoiho that was the difference.

The Southern Hoiho (36) came away with a hard fought win against the BNZ Northern Kāhu (35) in Dunedin.
Emma-Kaye Schroder (21pts) lead the way for the Kāhu as she set a new Rapid League scoring record but it wouldn't be enough against Samara Gallaher (19pts) and the Hoiho. The Hoiho showed good transition defensive against the Kāhu, smothering what looked like easy opportunites, The action went back and forth on a pendulum with Gallaher for the Hoiho and Azure Anderson for the Kāhu both putting up buckets in the back in forth game. However, it would be the Hoiho that made it count in the final quarter as they were able to hold on for one final defensive stop to take the 1 point victory.
