Southern Hoiho (102) deveat the Probuild ITM Mainland Pouākai (66).
The Southern Hoiho put on a show for the home fans in Dunedin with both Jesse Edwards and Claire Jacobs putting up 19pts. Esra McGoldrick (16pts) and Charlotte Whittaker (12pts) would lead the way for the Pouākai but it wouldn't be enough to hold off a superb Hoiho team. In the 2nd Quarter the Hoiho would take a strong lead with Taylah Simmons (15pts) and Paige Bradley both making use of their strong driving layups. Lillian Dart continued to make an impact for the Hoiho with 17pts in the game. It was not to be for the Pouākai as the shots just weren't sinking and the Hoiho would pull away even further with the lead managing an over 100 pt game.

With Emma Rogers out with an injury, it was Marena Whittle that would come into the starting lineup putting up 7 pts, 3 rebs and 2asts but it would be Hana Lacey-Rameka that would lead in points for the Pouākai with a very solid 16 pts and 5 rebs. Ava Jones also put in the effort with 7pts and 5rebs. For the Hoiho, Lillian Dart and Tia Pavihi both put in solid shifts with 6pts and 8pts respectively. But the offensive rebounds would be the difference for the Pouākai to see them in control in the 3rd and 4th quarters and seal them the victory.
