The G.J. Gardner Homes Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa competition is continuing to set new benchmarks for professionalism, both on and off the court. As preparations begin for the 2025 season, the League has announced that expressions of interest are now open for statisticians and score bench officials.
This marks the first time a formal process has been introduced for Technical Officials, with the requirement that all officials complete an Expression of Interest Form ahead of the new season.
The move reflects Tauihi’s commitment to growth and consistency across the competition. By implementing a clear and structured system for Technical Officials, the League aims to:
Build a comprehensive national database of statisticians and bench officials
Streamline communication between officials, franchises, and the League
Support the ongoing development of individuals working in these specialist roles
Establish consistent expectations and integrity standards across all games
All interested officials must submit their details by 11:00pm, Sunday 7 September 2025. The forms are available below:
Once the application window closes, each franchise will review submissions to confirm appointments, with opportunities available for both experienced officials and new faces eager to be part of the League.
