The Northern Group Tauranga Whai (85) take down the BNZ Northern Kāhu (63) As Laina Snyder's double-double powers the Whai to their second victory of the weekend.
The Whai came into their second double header of the weekend looking to reach 1st place on the ladder but the home side came out aggressively early in the match. But despite that aggressiveness the Whai powered to the lead behind the interior prowess of the Hannah Hank and Snyder as they dominated the glass and found room on the block. The Kāhu fought back to get the game within 10 points late in the third quarter, but Snyder and McDowell-White would take the game into their hands to lead The Whai to victory to storm home to the 22 point victory. The Whai will look to keep the form going as they meet the Mainland Pouākai next round for the second time in two weeks before hosting the Kāhu in Tauranga in round 5 for their second match of the season.

The Tauranga Whai (36) hold off the BNZ Northern Kahu (31)as they claim the victory in Auckland.
In a tight game with great plays from both sides, the Whai take the win behind the duo of Sophia Locandro and Jade Kirisome. Locandro found space on the block as Kirisome found room on the wind as the pair combined for 20 points, which was was enough to keep the Kāhu's rapid side from taking down their first win of the season.
